Safety and Risk Management
Organizations focused on patient safety and risk management have systems and structures in place to monitor and minimize risks with regard to preventable adverse events and avoidable deaths. We have developed this page of the QHN website to help quality improvers implement patient safety plans and risk management programs in their organizations.
Over the years, QHN has had numerous local, national and international speakers present on patient safety and risk management. We have broken this section up into digestible topic areas: Human Factors, Disclosure, Prospective Tools and Frameworks and Accreditation. We hope you find the tools, examples from the field and literature here within, as useful and exciting as we have.
