What's New? QHN is now training a third round of Ontario Trailblazers!
In 2006, in an effort to build system capacity to drive safer patient care, the Quality Healthcare Network (QHN), as the secretariat to the Ontario Node of Safer Healthcare Now! (SHN) launched the prototype of an innovative project called the Ontario Trailblazers funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. These highly skilled, passionate quality improvers are now instrumental in supporting patient safety and quality improvement within their institutions across Ontario.
To date, more than fifty Trailblazers throughout Ontario have become a resource team of clinical and quality practitioners, supporting Safer Healthcare Now! and other patient safety efforts. Many have also supported accreditation and the mandatory reporting of HSMR and other patient safety indicators.
