Storytelling
Storytelling is growing in visibility and popularity. Stories create connection, energy, and emotional impact. They are used by effective leaders and organizations to send signals, as well as engage, influence and persuade. Stories are increasingly seen as a leveraged strategy to foster change by senior leaders, change strategists and communications people. We have developed this page of the QHN website to help quality improvers like yourself can learn what integration means to other organizations and how they are integrating their services.
This Spring, QHN held its 2008 Spring Symposium on Enabling a Culture of Integration One Story at a Time in which we explored storytelling methods and methodology and in its place in healthcare. We have gathered storytelling tools, examples from the field, and literature here within, as you yourself search for meaningful ways to integrate storytelling into the work that you do.
If you have other storytelling tools or a story to share, we would love to hear from you as this topic evolves.
